Tanner's first Pinewood Derby...

Our ward is a student ward, thus we have no scouts. But to avoid missing out on such fun, we do a free for all Pinewood Derby every year!
These two actually get along, they act like an old married couple sometimes. Brooke liked Tanner's car so much she would race with him to the end to pick it up and bring it back to the top. In this picture, I told them to smile but he wanted to hold his car and she politely wasn't going to let that happen. They are too funny!
We enlisted the help of my dad to build Tanner's car, and it was a good thing we did because he took 2nd place!!! I am not sure if we have destroyed some right-of-passage type thing with scouting, but he loved it and has an awesome car! My dad even bought him red wheels because he loves red. He wasn't sure what we were up to when we showed him the block of wood, but once we got to the race track, he figured it out! So thanks to Pop for helping out with this and building the kid a SWEET race car!

Wow, way to go Tanner on 2nd place! Love the picture of him and Brooke, so funny! Miss that little guy (who isn't so little any more) Can you believe he is almost 4! I am still trying to grasp my mind around Ryker being 5 and starting kindergarten. Crazy!

Oh man, the good ol' Pinewood Derby! Jeff will be so sad and yet so excited to read about it! We totally wish we could be there to participate. Way to go T-Man on 2nd place! And I can't believe how grown up he is. I love that picture with him and Brooke. Hilarious! We totally need to have a friend reunion. This summer? Vegas at Natalie and Adam's house?? What do you say? :) Miss you guys lots. In fact, I am currently wishing I had someone to walk to the library with...
