Morgan's Birthday Extravaganza

My niece, Morgan, turned 3- like I mentioned in the last post- anyway, she came up for the weekend and had a birthday party on Valentines Day! Tanner was the only boy in attendance which is somewhat normal- unfortunately. But he had fun anyway with his uncles and Pop. But this is a video of Morgan- my mom gave her ballet stuff and we put some of it on her and she kicked it into high gear running around the house. So we convinced her to do a workout video- I couldn't help but think of Jane Fonda with the outfit and everything- maybe we are dorks, but I thought it was funny! And I don't know how to rotate it- sorry! Notice Tanner in the background...

As Morgan is Tanner's only cousin in the world, a few of Morgan's other cousins came to share in the festivities. This is her cousin Macie and Tanner playing hymns- Well sort of. I love Tanner's laugh!

Here is Kate at 3 weeks!

I'm 2 weeks old! (yesterday! so my mom is behind- give her a break!)

I can't believe it has already been 2 weeks! Well, I can, but I can't- any mom knows the conflicting feeling! I know it isn't the best picture, but maybe next time! Tanner and I were fighting over the camera, he seems to have discovered his artistic outlet- the only problem is-- I don't think my camera can survive it, so I try to keep it hidden. Then the whole out of sight out of mind thing starts working on me, and I don't take pictures. I tell you, these are vicious cycles that I get in! Laundry- days of the week- dirty diapers- waking up... you know the list! Anyway, Happy 2 Weeks Kate and a shout out to my niece Morgan, yesterday was her birthday! She is 3 already! Yikes, that means Tanner has 8 weeks left before he hits the big number too! Oh my babies, please slow down with the growing up! But for the mean time, here is a self portrait Tanner has provided for your viewing pleasures!

SHE'S HERE!!!!

Tanner would like you to meet his new sister, Baby Cup-Kate! At least that is what he calls her!

Her name is actually Kate Michelle, she came a week early and was born on Tuesday Jan. 27th at 3:59 pm. She was 7 lbs and 9 oz, and 19 inches long. The birth was an adventure and a story for another time. But she is very healthy and has been a very gracious sleeper which I more than appreciate! I may be partial but I think she is the cutest little baby! Tanner likes to know where she is at all times, the first morning she was home, he ran downstairs and couldn't find her, so he ran back upstairs to find her. He came in my room and said "Mommy wake up! Where baby CupKate?" It was funny, but his anxiety was put to rest when I pointed to her bed! He has been really good with her and as long as he knows where she is and that she is okay, his cars are more interesting! Most of her pictures are on other cameras, so we will get back to you with those! But here is a picture of Tanner after he helped Nana make cookies.

It finally came!

So in a normal kid's mouth, the bottom middle teeth come in, then the top middle teeth, and then they just come in in order (if that makes sense). Well, Tanner got all of his teeth- molars and all- before the two next to his bottom middle teeth. So we have often wondered if he would ever get those teeth, and hooray! He did! So thanks for sharing in our excitement! Now they can all start falling out!

He is trying to show his new tooth! I love this kid!

Quick fix

This is a quick fix for Megan! Sorry that I am a terrible blogger, but you should see my journal and my scrapbook (one page) and my poor child's baby book! (at least he has one!) Anyway, not much is going on right now, I am still pregnant, Cory is still in school, and Tanner is still not potty trained. But on the positive side, he is in a twin bed instead of his toddler bed and he is still my favorite little boy in the whole world! I am enjoying the cheap gas, and the weather people keep saying it is going to snow! We will see, they haven't been right yet, so I don't know why I keep my hopes up, but they are up and I love snow! Christmas is up and Tanner enjoys moving the ornaments around the tree. It is a good thing I found a 7 1/2 foot one on clearance ($9.00) last year! The breakables are at the top and so I don't care if he moves the others! I haven't done one ounce of Christmas shopping, but that is okay, I still have time! So happy anniversary to my parents yesterday and best of luck to you all in your preparations for Christmas! I love it! Pray for snow!

The Adventures of Tanner and Morgan

We had a fun weekend! As you all are well aware it was Halloween! Tanner was dressed up as his favorite cowboy- Woody! Pull string and all! He loved it once he had the costume on! Getting it on him was quite another story.

We stopped at Matt and Elyssa's house and they helped me get the rest of his outfit on, but Woody's buttons and Sherrif badge didn't survive the ordeal- very unfortunate! But thank you to them for the assist!

This is cowboy Tanner and Princess Morgan, sorry we couldn't get them to both look at us at the same time! They were getting excited togo get candy once the concept of trick-or-treating was explained to them! Ali brought them the toys Tanner has from Disney World and the little things sticking out spin around and light up, Tanner has Buzz and Morgan has Tinkerbell- perfect for the outfits! Tanner was more interested in them before we started getting candy!

The Trick-or-treating didn't last very long- okay about 5 houses- down my mom's street, but I am surprised that they aren't still just knocking on people's doors asking for candy! They did well though- they would knock and say trick-or-treat and even thank you! I was such a proud momma! Anyway we decided to hit up the Boo at the Zoo! I so recommend this because they were excited to get candy (and a toothbrush) everywhere and they also were excited to see all the animals! Which by the way were actually out! Morgan loved the tigers because they were like Princess Jasmins and Tanner liked the lions! Anyway- lots of fun! These are just pictures from the zoo!

I swear I will leave you alone soon!

So on Saturday my brother Sam took them outside to introduce them to the wonderful world of playing in the leaves! So here are a few shots from that!
